The Importance of a Haircut

By Nic Haralambous1 min read

It’s easy to get lost in the stress and drama that comes with running a startup. You’re either on the brink of profit or death depending on the hour, day, week or month.

You can wake up one morning and realise that it’s been weeks since you’ve had a proper meal, gone for a run, shaved, called anyone to talk or had sex. Building a business can become all consuming. That can be good but more often than not can end in tears, quite literally.

It’s easy to be overwhelmed.

For me, the point at which I realise I’ve gone too deep into my business is the length of my hair. I love getting a haircut. It’s one of the small joys in my life that I treasure. I go to the same place to get my hair cut. It’s an experience that leaves me feeling fresh, focused and rejuvinated. If I go too long without it I start to look and feel horrible.

Sometimes all it takes to feel better and turn things around is a haircut.

Small changes, big difference.
