Waiting For Opportunity vs Making Opportunity

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Thomas A. Edison

Think back. Dig into your memories and try to find an opportunity that you missed.

Did you miss it because it looked like har work?

Did you miss it because you were risk-averse?

Did you miss it because you thought something better would be coming along?

Did you miss it because you were impatient?

I preach hard but patient work. I do this for a reason.

You need to be able to work hard but also work consistently for long periods before traction appears. If you are working too hard you will burnout but if you aren’t working hard enough, traction might appear to be too far away so you give up.

Sometimes opportunity takes time to evolve and to grow.

Sometimes it looks like hard work with no end in sight and ends with a fortune.

Have you missed an opportunity because it was disguising itself as hard work?
